Crew ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Crew mobile application and website (the "Service"). This policy
explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, and password
- Profile information: professional skills, hourly rate, location, portfolio images, and
bio
- Payment information: processed securely by Stripe — we never store full card numbers
- Messages: communications sent through the platform
- Location data: approximate location to match you with nearby jobs (only with your
permission)
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- To process payments and send related notifications
- To match crew members with job and gear rental opportunities
- To send push notifications (only with your permission)
- To respond to support requests
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
- Service providers bound by confidentiality agreements
- Law enforcement when required by law
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time via
Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing info@thecrewapp.io.
Security
We use TLS encryption for all data in transit and industry-standard server-side security. Passwords are
hashed and never stored in plain text.
Children's Privacy
Crew is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting info@thecrewapp.io.
Changes
We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted here with an updated date.
